We built the boring chatbot on purpose.
Small businesses are being sold AI assistants that will say almost anything. Point one at your website and it'll cheerfully quote a price you don't charge, invent a returns policy, or get argumentative with a customer at midnight. The business owner finds out when someone sends them a screenshot.
The industry's answer is usually a bigger model. We think that's the wrong end of the problem. A customer-facing bot for a real business doesn't need to be clever — it needs to be reliable, narrow and honest. It should answer the same five questions your staff answer all day, cite where it got each answer, and get out of the way when it doesn't know.
So that's what we built. The restraint is the point. Everything in the platform — the grounding, the isolation, the usage ceilings — exists to make the bot predictable enough that you'd be comfortable putting it in front of your customers unsupervised.
Three things we decided early
A new client is configuration, never new code
Every business runs on the same engine with its own content and settings. That's why onboarding takes a day rather than a project, and why a fix for one client is a fix for everyone.
The safety work isn't a feature, it's the product
Anyone can wire a website to a language model in an afternoon. The hard part — and the part that decides whether you'd let it near a customer — is everything that stops it going wrong. That's where the engineering went.
Boring technology, deliberately
Proven databases, well-understood AI providers, no unnecessary moving parts. This has to run unattended for businesses that can't debug it. Novelty is a cost, and we spend it carefully.
Who's behind it
[FOUNDER NAME]
[Role — e.g. Founder & Engineer] · [City, Country]
I'm [FOUNDER NAME], and I build and run Skry. Before this I [BACKGROUND — what you did before, especially anything that shows you can build and operate software].
I started Skry after [THE MOMENT THE PROBLEM BECAME REAL TO YOU — a business you know that got burned by a bad chatbot, or watching owners answer the same question fifty times a week].
I do the engineering, the onboarding and the support — so when something's wrong, you're talking to the person who can fix it.
Editor's note: replace this whole block and
assets/img/founder-placeholder.svg with a real photograph and
real text before launch. Then delete class="placeholder" from the
wrapping <div>. Please don't use a stock photo or an
AI-generated headshot here — an invented person on an About page is exactly
the kind of fake credibility the rest of this site avoids.
Early, and honest about it.
We're taking on our first clients. The platform is built and working; what it doesn't have yet is years of other people's businesses running on it.
In your favour
You work directly with the person who built it, you get more attention than you would from an established vendor, and you have real influence over what gets built next.
Against
We don't have testimonials to show you, and we can't offer contractual uptime guarantees yet. If you need a vendor with a decade of references, that's a fair reason to wait.
We'd rather say that plainly than pad this page with stock photos and invented numbers.
The fastest way to judge us is to see it work.
Send us your URL. We'll build a bot on your real content and show you what it does — and what it refuses to do.
